1 Week Sober

I can do this!  It’s been over one week since I’ve kicked the MMO gaming habit and I haven’t been looking back…  unless you count my constant lurking at VN.  This constant lurking at the Vault boards has made me realize something…  I want Aion to fail.

That’s right.  Call me the Rush Limbaugh of online gaming…  but I want Aion to fail.  Why?  Let’s get nasty.

Reason numero uno: Aion is garbage.  There, I said it.  It’s garbage.  Aion does absolutely NOTHING to change the status quo of online games.  More specifically, Aion does absolutely nothing to fill the niche of the PvP centric MMO.  Any game that focuses on PvP but places an unrealistic amount of PvE in the way of reaching the PvP is destined to fail.  You Koreans might like this style of game, and that’s all well and good, but let’s just keep that shit in Korea where it belongs.

Reason two, see reason one.

Reason three: core design.  The PvPvE is interesting, but give me a break.  A third “realm” of NPCs is supposed to balance the PvP situation in Aion?  No.  Aion is supposed to be all about PvP…  make the third realm, oh I don’t know, another player realm?  It worked in Dark Age of Camelot – why not use it in Aion.

Reason four: bots.  Actually, the bot problem I would use to explain #5.

Reason five: boring PvE.  This is why I think the use of bots is extremely prevalent in Aion.  Bots aren’t just used to mindlessly farm, no, they’re used because leveling in Aion is beyond boring.  When I play a game, I play to have fun…  While you might enjoy Aion’s mindless waste of time, I despise it.  FAIL ON, AION!

I could go on, but I’m starting to say, “Aion is just a stupid game.  Why should I care if the West wants to pay for a piece of Korean shit?”
